Scarecrow Contest (Family and Kids)
Location: Outside

Calling all families...it’s time to get those creative juices flowing. Families are encouraged to work together to design and create a scarecrow for your yard. Photograph your creation and send the photo along with a short explaination to Saginaw County Parks. Win prizes from Mid-Michigan Children's Museum, Saginaw Children's Zoo, Zehnder’s Splash Village and Leaman’s Green Applebarn!Be sure to include the names of all of the creators and contributors, address, email and phone number. Entries can be mailed to: Saginaw County Parks, 111 South Michigan Avenue, Saginaw, Michigan 48602 or emailed to: parks@saginawcounty.com All entries must be created in Saginaw County.All entries will be posted on the website.Deadline for submitting photos is November 30th at 5pm. Judging will take place at the beginning of December and winners will be notified mid-December.

CPR/AED & First Aid Certification Class (Class)

Location: ARC, Genesee-Lapeer Chapter, 1401 S. Grand Traverse, Flint, MI 48503

This course is taught in three separate modules. Adult CPR/AED is a required module providing hands-on training to prepare students to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies in adults, including the proper use of an automated external defibrillator (AED). Child/Infant CPR is an optional module designed for childcare providers, teachers, parents, and others who care for children. This course will teach you how to recognize and care for breathing and cardiac emergencies in infants and children up to 12 years or age. First Aid is an optional module that teachers the skills needed to prevent, recognize and provide basic care for injuries and sudden illnesses until advanced medical personnel arrive (within 20 minutes).
